New learners read Korean in a single week of casual sessions, then move into themed vocabulary (food, travel, K-pop, family), collecting every word as a card, each with its own audio. Built to get you reading real Hangul rather than depending on romanization. No ads. Solo-built and free on iOS and Android.

HAN•GL is a Korean language platform that teaches Hangul, the Korean alphabet, through the historical narrative of King Sejong's invention of it in 1443, then layers a growing, collectible vocabulary library on top: 75+ themed topics, spaced-repetition flashcard review, and arcade games built over the words you've collected. The app is structured as a single-language depth product: every illustration, every line of copy, every audio sample is purpose-built for Korean, not adapted from a multi-language template, and it is built so you read real Hangul rather than depend on romanization. Free tier covers all of Hangul (15 chapters, 40 letters, three milestone tests, native audio) plus a complete first vocabulary topic, so any learner can read Korean without paying. A subscription unlocks the full vocabulary collection, quizzes, games, and ongoing content drops. The app launched in February 2026, won the K-Style Expo Q2 2026 pitch battle, and is positioned to become the definitive Korean language app. Built solo by founder Yuno.
